Hello fellow agriculture teachers! The CTE TEACH program offers up to $7,500/year for CTE mentors. Do you know of any school districts that would be interested? If you know of a school district with new CTE teachers who could use some support for their mentoring programs, have them apply for this amazing opportunity! By visiting www.cteteach.com anyone can see our request for applications (RFA), and explore their eligibility. Applications are due by Friday August 27th. We look forward to including your LEA in our review.

Hello Friends and colleagues! The best professional growth stems from learning outside of your box. Take an opportunity to grow by serving as a judge for Career Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs). FFA has been my wheel house, as have many of our close connections. DECA has some amazing opportunities for students, and I have learned a lot about how their practices can inform our own development. Take an opportunity to utilize your skills as an agriculturist (or otherwise), and impart some wisdom from your perspective on those students seeking careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. Be a judge! See more information at the link below, and reach out to me if you have questions about time commitment and general process for judging in a virtual environment.

Feel free to look through the archives too, if you've training a Best Informed Greenhand team, or looking for FFA History and Trivia for your classes.
