Love is in the air at Long Key! 💗

Pileated woodpeckers begin mating in February & March; they’re monogamous & mate for life! 🪶 Keep your eyes & ears peeled while walking through our forests; you might just hear drumming or see their elaborate courtship dances!

Down in south Florida, we’re lucky enough to have butterflies mating all year round! Check out our butterfly garden & see if you can spot their mating dances. 🦋
