Summit Debate is the home of one of the largest summer speech and debate camps in the country! You c

Founded in 1995, Summit Debate is an organization that Started in Minnesota as a summer high school debate camp. It has since grown to having three summer institutes as well as a professional services division. Added in 2011 is an online division that helps individuals and programs bring the camp experience to their classroom or living room all year long.

We are SOO excited for Michi to join the Summit Debate family!

Michi Synn has been a Varsity National Circuit Public Forum debater for Canyon Crest Academy for all 4 HS years and has served as a Captain and/or Officer from her sophomore to senior years. As PF co-captain, Michi has really enjoyed designing curriculum and coaching novice HS debaters as well as MS debaters throughout the school year and in the summers. As of December, 2024, Michi has amassed 18 bids to the Tournament of Champions (TOC) as well as 15 Top Ten Speaker Awards (2 of which were at TOC!) Michi has qualified for and will have debated at TOC in all 4 years of high school. She is a very versatile debater, having been competitively successful as both a first and second speaker, and she is especially well versed in lay debate, analytical rebuttals, and organization in the summary speech. Michi is so excited to coach at NDF this summer!
