💙 Wellness Reminder: Recharge for Those Who Count on You

As Father’s Day approaches, we take a moment to recognize fathers, father figures, mentors, caregivers, and all those who support, guide, and care for others.

Wellbeing is not only about staying active or keeping up with responsibilities. It is also about making time to rest, recharge, and protect your mental and emotional health.

For many, caring for others becomes second nature—but self-care should not be an afterthought. Taking a walk, getting sunlight, drinking water, resting, talking with someone, or simply taking a quiet moment can help restore balance and clarity.

This weekend, let’s celebrate the people who give so much by encouraging them to care for themselves, too.

Your wellness matters—not only for you, but for those who love and depend on you. 🌿

☀️ Summer Wellness: Recharge with the Sun

As summer opens with brighter days and warmer skies, it is a great reminder to pause, recharge, and reconnect with the natural sources that support our wellbeing.

Sunlight plays an important role in helping the body produce vitamin D, which supports overall health, energy, and mood. Even a few mindful minutes outdoors can help clear the mind, reduce mental fatigue, and bring a renewed sense of balance.

This summer, take time to step outside, breathe deeply, stay hydrated, and allow yourself moments of rest. Wellness is not only about productivity—it is also about knowing when to recharge.

Let the sunlight remind you to slow down, reset, and take care of your mind and body.

Recharge. Refocus. Welcome summer with wellbeing in mind. 🌿

We are proud to share that our students recently presented at the 2026 American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) Virtual Poster Symposium (VPS), a premier digital conference featuring the Ambulatory Care PRN Poster Competition.

This outstanding project was led by student researchers Gabriel Beltran (‘28), Kathlyn Vazquez (‘28), Helena Cilleros Corona (‘28), Diana Arteaga Vidal (‘28), and Beatriz Valdivie Cabrera (‘28), under the mentorship of Devada Singh-Franco, Pharm.D., associate professor and interim director of experiential education. 👏

Their poster, “Pharmacist-Led Interventions for Oral Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitor Adherence and Toxicity Management in Cancer Patients: A Systematic Review,” highlights the vital role pharmacists play in improving adherence, managing toxicity, and optimizing outcomes for patients receiving oral anticancer therapies. Their impressive work earned 1st Place in the Student Poster category, awarded by the ACCP Ambulatory Care Practice and Research Network. 🏆

This recognition reflects the dedication, collaboration, and academic excellence fostered within our college. We remain committed to supporting innovative research, professional development, and advancing the impact of pharmacy practice on a national stage.

On Wednesdays we focus on well-being! Each week, we feature content dedicated to enhancing our personal and professional well-being.

Have you ever thought about how your digital habits impact the health of our planet? 🌍

Every email sent, video streamed, and file stored requires energy. The systems powering our online lives, like data centers and networks, contribute to greenhouse gas emissions. Being more intentional with our digital activity is a meaningful way to reduce environmental impact.

✨ Try this:
• Stream intentionally (download when possible, avoid background streaming)
• Unsubscribe from emails you don’t read
• Clean up cloud storage by deleting old or unnecessary files
• Take regular “low-tech” breaks from your devices

Small, mindful changes can make a difference—for your well-being and the planet.
