January 6th is a regular school day and January 10th is a teacher planning day.

There is school today, Tuesday, October 8 at Davie Elementary. All after-school activities, including Sunshine after school care are canceled. Therefore, all students, even those enrolled in Sunshine aftercare must be picked up at 2:00 PM. Please call the office or complete the survey at the following link to let us know how your child will be dismissed.

Davie Elementary will be closed on Wednesday, October 9, and Thursday, October 10. All after-school care services, activities and events such as our Book Fair Family Night and Debate are canceled on both days. We anticipate normal operations will resume on Friday, October 11. Updates will be provided.

Hurricane Milton Update.

Broward County Public Schools and District offices will be open tomorrow, Tuesday, October 8. However, district offices will close at 4 p.m., and all after-school activities, including evening classes, are canceled.

Given the uncertainty regarding Hurricane Milton’s path and impact, Schools and District offices will be closed on Wednesday, October 9, and Thursday, October 10. All activities and events are canceled on both days.

We anticipate resuming normal operations on Friday, October 11. As needed, the District will provide updates via ParentLink, social media, and browardschools.com.

BCPS Weather Advisory

Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) will be open tomorrow, Monday, October 7, 2024. We will continue to closely monitor the storm.

We ask everyone to remain vigilant on the roads and to exercise extra patience during their commute, as there may be rain and possible flooding.

Please remind students to use caution when crossing sidewalks and intersections.

To ensure a smooth start, we advise students and staff to allow additional time to get to school safely. The District will provide an update on Monday afternoon regarding operations for the remainder of the week.

Storm Update

We are pleased to announce that normal operations will resume tomorrow, Friday, September 27th. This includes before- and after-care services, after-school activities, local field trips, and evening events and classes.

The Redefining Our Schools Community Meeting at Miramar High School has been rescheduled to Tuesday, October 1st, at 6 p.m.

We are thankful that Broward County was spared the worst of the hurricane and stand ready to assist other districts in their recovery efforts.
