Tech Talks Friday!

Jonathan gave us an up-close look at Spot, the robot dog, and let’s just say the AvidXchange Lab may never recover from the excitement.

Huge thanks to Duke Energy for the opportunity to bring Spot to our lab and show us the future of robotics in action. We’re still waiting to see if Spot can deliver laptops for us!

Mr. Millen goes to WASHINGTON!

Pat Millen had a wonderful 2-Day whirwind of meetings with Congressional leaders, telling them what we do, why we do it and what they can do to help this important work for NC.

We knew that it was going to be a serendipitously valuable week when Pat actually got to sit next to Rep. Mark Harris on the flight up from CLT. He gave Pat one of his “challenge coins” which is quite a nice honor.

There is a lot of follow up to work on, but we are so glad that E2D could represent NC residents and their digital needs directly.

Please join us in congratulating Franny Millen on her new role as Development Manager at E2D!

In this position, Franny will play a key role in advancing E2D’s funding strategy by leading grant efforts and supporting the growth of individual giving. Her dedication, leadership, and passion for our mission have already made a tremendous impact, and we are excited to see her continue to advance E2D’s work.

We are grateful to have Franny on our team and look forward to all she will accomplish in this new role. Congratulations, Franny! 🎉

May is a big birthday month for our Leadership team! If you missed it, be sure to wish Christy (May 10th), Kristi (May 14th), and Ashley (May 15th) a very happy birthday next time you see them at one of our labs.

We are grateful for what these three bring to the team every day. We hope this year ahead is the best one yet!

E2D is so proud to announce that our President and Co-Founder, Pat Millen was presented with the Leadership North Carolina Stanley Frank Award.

It is an annual honor presented to the Leadership North Carolina graduate who demonstrates exceptional leadership, community service, and dedication to improving North Carolina, in honor of the late civic leader Stanley Frank.

The recipient of this award is chosen by his/her peers. We are truly thrilled that Pat's cohort recognized the kindness, passion and leadership we get to experience each day!

Cheers to you Pat!

Tech Talk Fridays are BACK!

This week, we join Lukas and Jonathan in Havelock, NC, for our first laptop distribution in the area. They were able to chat with Jessica from Digital Skills for Ownership and Sustainability, to learn more about our collaboration and vision for creating digital opportunities in Havelock.

Thanks to our ongoing partner Sunbelt Rentals Inc who brought volunteers and laptop donations to our AvidXchange Lab. The team came together to wrap more than 10 boxes of chargers, saving our lab technicians valuable time to focus on refurbishment!
