Hey Business Cats!
On Tuesday, December 5th 6-7:30pm at The Hub @ Davidson, we will host the Carolina Fintech Hub leadership team and board members for a presentation and networking event: this is a group comprised of bank leaders, tech startup founders, city government officials and other local professionals interested in attracting and forging a vibrant fintech community in the Carolina region.
Charlotte has long been one of the nation’s strongest banking centers – but faces new challenges and opportunities as technology disrupts and enhances traditional financial services. Forged by the City of Charlotte, Mayor’s Office, fintech startups and leaders of the large banks, the Carolina Fintech Hub is working toward making Charlotte a place where big banks and tech startups can collaborate and thrive. Today, innovation and disruption happening in financial services often originates in Silicon Valley – but lacks the banking talent and expertise found in Charlotte.
Thus, CFH is focused on building an ecosystem composed of companies and initiatives that seek to disrupt OR enhance financial services through the use of technology, with the benefit of the incredible banking talent found in our region. Next Tuesday, their team will share more about what they are up to – and ways that students can engage with their partner companies and efforts. Beverages and light appetizers will be served!
Please RSVP in advance! Email Julie Goff ([email protected]) with any questions.
