Thank you, Harrison families and staff, for making our Unpack Your Backpack Night such a wonderful success.

Seeing our former students, new students, and returning students fill the halls with excitement reminded me exactly why Harrison is such a special place. Your smiles, your energy, and your readiness to begin a new year made tonight truly unforgettable.

To our families, thank you for showing up, supporting your children, and partnering with us.
To our staff, thank you for your hard work, your heart, and your commitment to making every child feel welcomed and seen.

And a special shout‑out to our incredible PTA team thank you for the fabulous décor, the T‑shirts, and for simply being visible, present, and supportive in every way. Your creativity and commitment help make our community feel welcoming and vibrant.

I can’t wait for the first day of school. We’re going to have the BEST year ever at Harrison Elementary.

Today marked a strong and meaningful start to our school year. Our teachers engaged deeply in Kagan Cooperative Learning, structured centered on ensuring that every student is actively involved in learning. With intentional planning and committed implementation, these structures will help us continue raising achievement across classrooms.

Technology didn’t cooperate at first, but Tammy, our trainer, modeled exactly what effective educators do: adapt. She shifted seamlessly to chart paper until everything was back online, reminding us that flexibility is not just a skill; it’s a mindset.

I’m eager to see how this momentum carries into our first day with students. The foundation we set today matters.

A heartfelt thank‑you to Harrison Elementary PTAP for providing lunch from Village Corner Deli. Staff shared so many positive comments, we felt supported and appreciated.

Here’s to a year of purpose, partnership, and progress.
