🔬 First Day Fun in 7th Grade Science! 🥤🧪

Students kicked off the year with the Cup Stacking Challenge! They worked together, communicated, problem-solved, and learned an important lesson along the way: it’s okay not to know how to do something…yet! 💡

There were plenty of laughs, a little frustration, lots of teamwork, and some great learning happening. What a fun way to start the year and practice the skills that will help us grow all year long! 💙

Today's Jump Academy has been postponed.

Jump Academy Update – August 12 at 8:30 am

Due to a power outage at North High School and Wood Middle School, Jump Academy at North High School and Wood Middle School scheduled for today, August 12, has been postponed.

All other High School and Middle School Jump Academy events will take place today, Aug 12, as scheduled.

Further details regarding rescheduling for North and Wood will be shared with families as soon as they are available.

We are so proud of our very own Viking staff member, Mrs. Willet!!!!!(aka Ms. Porter!!) She was one of the chosen to throw out the first pitch on the River Bandits’ teacher appreciation night!! She was school spirit strong in her Wood Viking gear too!! 💚💛

It spreads joy when staff and students are recognized for their hard work and dedication! Go Vikings!!!

Another amazing coach who happens to also be a fantastic teacher at Wood! Congratulations, Mr. Carstens on your 100th win milestone!

The Davenport North Baseball team defeated Muscatine 7-0 in game one of their MAC doubleheader and with the win Head Coach Colin Carstens picked up his 100th win with North.
