After nearly 50 wonderful years, we are saddened to share that our beloved preschool will be closing. It has been an absolute joy to guide generations of children through our doors. Over the years, we’ve gathered a treasure trove of learning materials, furniture, office supplies, and so much more! We will be holding a sale September 21st-25th to help liquidate our treasures. Please feel free to share.

Yesterday the staff had the honor of attending a Ramps & Pathways training through the Scale-Up Grant provided by Iowa Regents Center. Yesterday was the first half and in October we will attend the second half. Already we have learned so much and are excited to incorporate more of this type of play into our programming. This type of STEM work has a plethora of learning benefits to children (and us!) of all ages.

*STEM and Physics Learning: Children explore core concepts like gravity, speed, force, and incline angles by testing how fast objects roll down different slopes

*Problem Solving and Resilience: Kids test ramp designs, make mistakes, adjust block supports, and try again until their marbles or cars successfully reach the end.

*Inclusive Communication: The open-ended nature of building allows dual-language learners and children with speech delays to collaborate equally with peers without relying on spoken language.

*Focused Attention: Highly engaging materials turn active play into extended periods of deep concentration and sustained curiosity.

All of the staff got to spend a lot of time playing with all of the materials and we are so excited to see what the children come up with!
