Today was phase one of cleaning up the school Atrium!

Thanks to the help of United Way volunteers, they helped us make a huge impact on their Impact Day!

We were able to pull up plants to be transplanted in other areas of the school, pulled lots, and lots of weeds, and they were able to dig up all the large rock that was a huge hassle! We planted some easy to maintain plants, and laid out some pea gravel which will be sprayed down for more easy maintenance.

We still have lots of work to do to finish this project so be on the look out for a date for phase 2 in August before school starts! We could sure use the extra hands!

Join us tomorrow for our Jackson Beautification project!

We will be cleaning up the school Atrium, pulling weeds, clearing rocks, planting new plants/relocating old. The end goal is to turn the school atrium into an outdoor classroom!
We will also be cleaning/organizing the PE equipment room, if being outdoors isn’t your thing.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated even if you’re able to only help for 30min!

School’s out for summer ☀️

- A message from our PTA Board Members:

Thank you Jackson Jaguars for an amazing year. We had so many amazing events from our movie nights, painting canvas’s with Ms. Nathem, the Glow Dance to help raise money for one of our own, Trunk or Treat, and SO MUCH MORE!
We raised funds to provided free yearbooks for the students again, funded the Putnam to come and talk with the 3rd graders, the 5th grade promotion trip, our 4th graders were able to go to the Geology Museum at Augustana, and Kindergarten went to the Pioneer Village! Again, all paid for with PTA funds that were raised with your help.
We were able to pay for subscriptions for some of the school classrooms, Big projects, Field day popsicles and water, classroom supplies, bandaids and ice packs for the nurses, and again SO MUCH MORE!

We are only able to do these things with support and we honestly are worried if we will be able to continue on. Sure we can raise the funds but what we’re lacking are VOLUNTEERS. Our last meeting we didn’t have any parents attend, and are down 2 board members. There is just 3 of us and we can’t do it alone.

So please think about volunteering at a future PTA event, attending a meeting (they’re less than an hour and we have snacks), becoming a board member. Because we want to keep doing these amazing things for Jackson ❤️

Alright you guys!! Tonight is the night for our Jackson's - End of the year BASH!

We can't think of a better way to kick off summer break with our last movie night of the school year, food trucks, friends, and more!

Details (there's a lot of them):
- We will be set up on the southside of the school on the blacktop (green playground)
- Ganzo’s taco truck, and Sweet Delite’s
Ice cream truck available for your purchase starting at 5:45pm!
- Make sure to bring your own blankets and chairs - We will not be able to provide you any. We recommend you also bring bug spray!
- The Movie will start between 8:15-8:30pm (depending on sun set)
- Bring your yearbook- we will have spots set up for yearbook signing until 7:45pm
- “Doors” open at 5:45pm for food trucks/yearbook signing
- We will have a small concessions set up, but it will not be open until 7pm. We will be closing and cleaning up promptly at 8pm - NO EXCEPTIONS!

Year 5 of providing FREE yearbooks to all of the Jackson students!

With all your donations, participation, and help, we were able to raise enough funds throughout the school year to do this again! This has been a yearly tradition, and it’s the absolute best!

Yearbooks were handed out today, so be on the lookout for those to come home today/tomorrow!
