Just a quick update:

For those of you who have not been added or requested an invite, I did create a private group for our class to communicate in vs. this page moving forward so if I hadn’t had the chance to get you added yet, I’m continuing to make my way through.

Please make sure you accept my invite if you haven’t yet and feel free to invite anyone else I may have missed so far!

Hey Class of 2012,

SORRY LONG POST AHEAD!

I hope everyone is doing well - I know these past almost 2 years in this crazy world have been impactful in so many ways in our lives but hopefully we can finally start to fully get back to "normal" life which leads to celebrating our class graduating from CHS 10 YEARS AGO next year! Not sure how that's even possible already!!!

I wanted to do a little poll here to figure out which date(s) everyone thinks might work best to host this so hopefully we can get a great turn out! I know life is busy and we all have our own things going on whether it be work, school, kids, etc. but would love to see as many people as possible!

Here are the weekends I am proposing and preliminary idea I have - obviously totally open to suggestions too if anyone has any ideas they would like to share:

OPTION #1 - Fri. June 3rd & Sat. June 4th, 2022 (GRADUATION WEEKEND)
OPTION #2 - Fri. June 24th & Sat. June 25th, 2022
OPTION #3 - Fri. July 29th & Sat. July 30th, 2022 (BIX WEEKEND)
OPTION #4 - Fri. Sept. 2nd & Sat. Sept. 3rd, 2022 (LABOR DAY WEEKEND)

Holiday weekends are always tough because everyone usually has their own plans but I wanted to at least throw one of them out there. Memorial Day & 4th of July Weekends just didn't seem like good options.

TO VOTE: Just simply leave a comment below indicating which weekend you would prefer.

Once a date is solidified and a location is confirmed, I will create a Save-The-Date and eventually create an event as well with all details included.

Friday Evening: we could post a spot to meet for drinks/appetizers if anyone is in town and wants to get together OR have this serve as the night to get together with your smaller groups of friends to catch up and get some quality time in together!

Saturday Late Morning/Early Afternoon: A tour of the high school - I know there have been many exciting changes that have happened since we graduated including a beautiful new swimming pool & auditorium. Was throwing the idea around of seeing if any of our former teachers would like to tag along and meet us there too?

Saturday Evening: We would have a set event (venue still TBD) and get together for a few hours with food & drink + time to reminisce and socialize! I imagine there will be a small cost per person associated with this as I don't believe we have a class account that was ever created/contributed to for us. Contenders for location include Me & Billy, Armored Gardens, and Frick's Tap currently.

PLEASE SHARE with others in our class if you are friends with them and know that they don't have social media and encourage everyone to "like" this page as I will be posting all info here especially once things are finalized. I want to have as many people be included on this as can be.

Again, I am all about collaboration so please feel free to comment or message me suggestions or ideas if you have any!!

I'm excited and can't wait to see everyone next year!

Hi all,

Unfortunately I’m posting here currently with some very sad news but feel it is always important to keep everyone in the loop through the good & the bad events that life brings.

I’m so sad to say that we have lost yet another classmate too soon - here is the post that his mom just made and I wanted to share with you all:

“As hard as this is to write, I feel like it is necessary. My son, Nick Bertram passed away yesterday morning 8-21-21 in DeWitt. I have reached out to friends and family as much as I possibly can. Please know that if you are reading this for the first time it isn't that you aren't our beloved friend or family it is just impossible to contact everyone personally. I will keep you all updated with arrangements but tentatively Sunday the 29 at Runge in Davenport is our plan at this point. Thank you for those who have reached out, your words and kindness means the world to me. GOD BLESS you all❤ Please hold my daughters, family, and friends up in your prayers as Nick will be a very missed person on this Earth❤”

Hi everyone - I know it has been awhile since this page has been utilized and I hate to get on here to post under these circumstances but feel it is absolutely necessary especially given the year 2020 has turned out to be.

I'm not sure how many of you are aware but our classmate, Josh Roldan (Boyer), as some of you may remember him as, had been missing since September 2nd in Urbandale, IA and it is with a heavy heart that I post that we have lost another classmate from the DC Class of 2012 way too soon. I personally have known Josh since 6th grade at Sudlow and while a lot of people picked on him because he was “different”, he was always very nice to me and he was just Josh - one of a kind

UPDATE:
FRIDAY, JULY 28th: START OF BIX WEEKEND!
• We have a reserved area under a white tent outside of Barrel House (211 E. 3rd Street) in Downtown Davenport beginning at 6:00 pm! There will be a bar set up for us & you can order food if you'd like to! Feel free to stop down for a drink, grab some food, play some bags, and reconnect with old friends/classmates. This is located right at one end of the Bix Street Fest so feel free to make your way further into Downtown Davenport later on in the evening!
SATURDAY, JULY 29th: THE BIX 7!
• Touch base with any friends or classmates to see who plans on running the Bix in the morning!
• TOUR AT 11:00 AM - The new principal, Jon Flynn, will be giving us a tour of the new additions to the high school. Please meet at the 12th Street entrance as they are in the middle of a construction project on the Main Street side!
• Saturday evening is open to you so definitely arrange to meet up downtown and enjoy everything the Bix Street fest has to offer (live music, great food, good drinks)
• I will be posting where I plan to be at that evening & others can feel free to do so as well!
FIRESALE 10TH ANNIVERSARY SHOW!: Join Max, Colton, McKinley, and Joe at Bleyart's Tap in the Village of East Davenport from 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm for FREE!

HI GUYS!

Soooo, the moment you've all been waiting for has finally arrived! Thanks for being patient!
Our 5 year is organized to be SUPER chill, casual, and fun!

Here is the plan:

FRIDAY, JULY 28th: START OF BIX WEEKEND!

• We have a reserved area under a white tent outside of Barrel House (211 E. 3rd Street) in Downtown Davenport beginning at 6:00 pm! • I left this day open for people to do whatever they'd like! I know I personally will be enjoying breakfast somewhere so I highly suggest grabbing your friends and enjoying bottomless bloody mary's and mimosas somewhere before the weekend is over and we all have to return back to the college life or world of "adulting"! :)

Hi everyone! I hope you all are doing well and that everyone is enjoying life after high school, college, etc!

Can you believe our 5 year Class Reunion is already here?!

I created this page so that we could all continue to stay connected no matter where life takes us. Please feel free to add anyone else from our class that I may have missed; I am still in the process of compiling a list of our graduating class!
