💔 Heartbroken for these two wonderful programs who are closing their doors after years of serving our community.

We have taken so many phone calls from families looking for care, and unfortunately, we are completely full. Knowing there are families searching for a safe, loving place for their children while programs are being forced to close is incredibly heartbreaking.

We need to do so much better when it comes to supporting our local child care centers and preschools. When will enough be enough?

These are two of FOUR local programs that I know of that have closed their doors in our community within the past year or so. That should concern all of us. 😢

Child care is not simply a place where children spend their day. Our programs provide love, care, consistency, relationships, early education, and a safe place for children to grow while their parents work and provide for their families.

Whenever you have the opportunity, please advocate for child care. Support your local programs. Speak up. Share their stories. Talk to your legislators. Recognize the incredible work our teachers and child care professionals do every single day.

Our children depend on us to get this right.

We have to do better. ❤️

🎉 We are pretty darn excited to share that for the 9th year in a row, we have been voted into the Top 5 for Locals Love Us! 🥹❤️

And this year, we brought home some BIG honors! 🏆

🥈 2nd Place — Best Preschool

What an incredible honor and privilege as we approach our 10th birthday this year! Ten years of loving, learning, growing, and serving the families in our community—and to celebrate this milestone with these awards makes it even more special. ❤️

We are SO proud of our incredible team and all that they pour into our children each and every day. These awards are a reflection of their dedication, passion, and love for what they do.

And most importantly, THANK YOU to all of the families who have trusted us with your most precious gifts. Thank you for choosing us, believing in us, recommending us, and allowing us to be part of your family’s journey.

Today, we got to celebrate the heavenly birthday of Miss Kyla! Kyla’s wonderful family blessed us all with cake for all of our staff and kiddos to enjoy. We sang Happy Birthday and all took some time to think about her and reflect on how much joy she brought to our program. We will always miss her and will carry her in our hearts forever. 💜 Happy Birthday, Kyla 💜

Is it Friday yet?! 👀😂

We have officially had our busiest week EVER, and whew… we are tired, but our cups are SO full! 🥰

We kicked off the week by purchasing a NEW VAN for the center! 🚐✨ Then, on Wednesday, we welcomed almost 70 new preschoolers into their brand-new classrooms! 💛

Wednesday after hours, we attended a two-hour training all about connection, brain development, and how to best serve our students. 🧠

And today? A TON of new toys and materials arrived, which meant lots of opening goodies, setting up new treasures, and breaking down approximately a million boxes. 😂📦

It has been a BIG week, but we have loved every second of it! Watching our new friends explore their classrooms, meet their teachers, and discover all the new toys and materials has made every busy moment worth it. 🥹

We are exhausted… but our hearts are FULL. ❤️

We can’t wait to meet all of our new preschool friends and their families tonight! We’re so excited to welcome you into the Birdie’s Nest family and give you a little sneak peek at all the fun, learning, friendships, and adventures that await you! 🐦💕
