The Palmer Center for Chiropractic Research (PCCR) would also like to highlight Dr. Zacariah Shannon’s recognition as an Honorable Mention for the NCMIC-JMPT Research Award at the 18th WFC Biennial Congress earlier this month in Copenhagen, Denmark. Dr. Shannon was joined by PCCR co-authors Dr. Cynthia Long, Dr. Robert Vining, and biostatistician Jacob McCarey.

Closing out the PCCR’s presence at the 18th Biennial World Federation of Chiropractic Congress today, Dr. Cyndy Long will be presenting this afternoon on the “Association of high-impact chronic pain with mental health co-morbidities in U.S. veterans with chronic low back pain: Baseline data from VERDICT.”

Today, Dr. Zac Shannon will be sharing his research with the WFC during his platform presentation in Copenhagen, Denmark on “Longer-term outcomes of chiropractic care for US active-duty military personnel with low back pain from a pragmatic trial subsample.”

The goal is to assess the effectiveness of chiropractic care for pain management and improved function in active-duty service members experiencing low-back pain.

Dr. Stacie Salsbury will also be presenting her poster presentation at the 18th Biennial World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC) Congress on “Perceptions of research capacity and culture among faculty and administrators in a North American chiropractic academic institution.”

This study was conducted as part of the ’s Research Aspirations, Interest, and Skills Exploratory (RAISE) initiative, co-chaired by Dr. Salsbury.

Additionally, she will presenting her own platform presentation on “Caring for older adults using the 4Ms framework of age-friendly healthcare: A qualitative analysis of written feedback from chiropractic students.”
