Dauphin Island Sea Lab Research Experience for Undergraduates We value each student. Students participate in career development workshops and field trips. This page is to share their unique journeys and progress!

The DISL REU program is a National Science Foundation funded 10-wk intensive research experience for undergraduates who desire and will benefit from research opportunities and career development in STEM fields. The Dauphin Island Sea Lab hosts a 10-week NSF-funded research experiences for undergraduates (REU), typically from the last week of May to the first week of August (exact dates vary from y

ear to year). Students are paired with a primary faculty mentor and mentorship team to design, conduct and present results of an independent scientific study.
