Darrington School District is comprised of two schools: Darrington Elementary, which serves students in grades PK-8, and Darrington High School, grades 9-12. The District provides opportunities to students in core academic subjects, performing and visual arts, alternative/online education, and college-prep curricula. Our schools boast a variety of activities and extracurricular activities. In partnership with our community, youth sports are offered in football, volleyball, basketball and baseball. Students have the opportunity to participate in STEM and community enrichment activities, with a strong focus on outdoor recreation. Instrumental music is offered in middle school, and drama for secondary students. Our career and technical education programs provide opportunities for students to build college and career readiness. Darrington High School varsity teams represent our schools and community with pride, and include Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Wrestling, Baseball and Softball. Our District serves the town of Darrington and surrounding area. Nestled in the Cascade Mountains and surrounded by mountains and scenic rivers. Our rich history includes the legacy of the Sauk-Suiattle Tribe, the area’s first residents, who remain an integral part of our community. The Gold Rush of 1889 led to the formation of present-day Darrington in 1892. Our legacy in the timber industry continues to the present, and is reflected in our mascot, the Loggers. Forestry and natural resources, along with outdoor recreation and local events, make Darrington a great place to live, to learn and to grow together. Social Media User Guidelines
