✂️ A new crew of sewists has officially taken over the machines! Our 4th–6th graders kicked off class last week, learning real sewing skills, building confidence, and turning fabric into things they’ll actually want to use. Pretty cool what you can do when you know your way around a sewing machine.

Make-Modern is a third place for so many, so partnering with THE ultimate Third Place feels pretty perfect. ✨

On September 15th, we’re teaming up with The Third Place in Stamford for a one-night-only sweatshirt customization workshop. You’ll choose your sweatshirt, learn 3D embroidery, appliqué + visible mending techniques, have a drink (on us!), and leave with something that’s entirely your own...not to mention a few new skills to take home!

Spend the evening with us making your kicks one-of-a-kind. We had the most fun partnering with Kicksmith Studio for a creative night of sneaker designing, where these kids transformed their sneakers with high-quality paints, colorful laces, and premium leather details, creating shoes as unique as they are. Tonight’s workshop in Cos Cob is sold out but we have a few seats left for Ridgefield’s event tomorrow night! Head to link in bio to save your spot.
