It's officially BLACK! 🖤🎭

This weekend, our new black box theatre got painted, and it's starting to feel real.

A black box can become anything the story needs. One night it's an intimate drama with the audience just a few feet away, and the next it's a lab where students direct their own scenes, design their own lights, and try things they've never tried before. That's where actors grow: up close, taking risks, and learning from every moment.

This room is going to give our kids more stage time, more creative ownership, and more chances to fall in love with theatre. I'm so proud of how far we've come and so excited for what happens next.

KJ Roberson chosen for Superintendent Woods 2026-2027 Student Advisory Council

Huge congratulations to McIntosh County Academy senior KJ Roberson on being selected to serve on State Superintendent Richard Woods’ Student Advisory Council!

This incredible milestone marks the first time in a decade—and possibly in school history—that an MCA student has earned this prestigious honor.

As a council member, KJ will meet directly with Superintendent Woods to give voice to student perspectives, discuss the real impact of state educational policies in the classroom, and shape key decisions affecting Georgia schools. In addition to sharing insight on critical education issues, KJ will serve as a vital ambassador representing MCA and our community at the state level.

We are so proud of KJ for taking on this leadership role and representing the Buc spirit across Georgia!

September Attendance Awareness Month - BUCS SHOW UP!

BUCS SHOW UP! Today we celebrated our Bucs for perfect attendance in September. All 55 students earned an Attendance Pass for final exemption, and 10 lucky Bucs won a gift bag of goodies and a $10 Amazon gift card.
