Grandpa's bird houses open, so you can clean them when the birds have all safely left the nest.

This house is unfinished. It's waiting to be varnished.
Grandpa designs these houses, prints them on his 3D printer using PLA filament, which is made with cornstarch, sugarcane and other sustainable ingredients. He then designs a picture-scape for each and hand paints them. Finishing them off with varnish to bear the great outdoors.

👨🏼‍🎨A word about my dad: He's been an artist his entire life. He studied fine arts and graphic illustration in San Fransisco after he served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.

🇺🇸He was active in the anti-war movement when he returned home, with many published illustrations supporting the anti-war cause.

He made animated commercial videos for numerous companies including Xerox (remember them?!).
He's painted indoor & outdoor murals, you can find in the Netherlands and here in Wilton.

Now, in his retirement, he's enjoying creating beauty for people who want to see more of it in their lives.
