🏴‍☠️ Homecoming planning is officially underway!

During Club Day today, McIntosh County Academy SkillsUSA and the MCA Buccateers got to work designing promotional posters for this year’s MCA Homecoming Parade! 🎨

Some of their designs will soon be featured on social media, displayed throughout the community at local businesses, and used to help spread the word about one of MCA’s biggest traditions.

Our students are excited to put their creativity and leadership skills to work as we continue to LEVEL UP this year and prepare for an unforgettable Homecoming Parade!

Stay tuned—more parade information is coming soon! ⚓️🏴‍☠️

This past Friday, the MCA Buccateers had the joy of volunteering at Todd-Grant Elementary School, helping hide Easter eggs for the littles! It was such a fun and meaningful way to spread Easter cheer and bring smiles to so many sweet faces.

We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Boys and Girls Club for allowing us to be a part of this special day, to Mrs. Sandra Ryals for her continued support, and to MCA Principal, Mr. Todd Willis, for his unwavering encouragement.

Making memories and giving back—what Easter is all about! 🐣💛

It started one day with a thought and a plan,
“A club that serves others? Yes… that’s what we can!”

With members who cared and were ready to try,
the Buccateers spirit began to grow high.

They helped and they served,
they showed up with heart,
and that’s when the magic
all started to start.

But no dream grows strong
and no mission can soar
without a great community
opening the door.

So thank you to everyone
who cheered us along—
your support made our chapter
grow bigger and strong.

Two years have passed
and just look where we are—
a club full of service
that’s reaching so far.

But don’t close the book,
don’t turn out the light…

The Buccateers story
is just taking flight.

And here’s to more service,
more memories too…

To many more years
of the MCA Buccateers crew.

⚓❤️🖤

Honoring the Sponsors Who Help Steady the Ship

Today, we shine the spotlight on the heart behind the MCA Buccateers — our two incredible advisors, Mrs. Jessica Joseph and Mr. Robert Todd.

Mrs. Jessica Joseph serves as a paraprofessional in the Special Education Department at McIntosh County Academy and is currently student teaching as she works toward earning her Bachelor’s degree in Education. She also serves as the Head of FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) at our school, pouring into students not only academically, but spiritually and personally as well. Her passion for young people is evident in everything she does. Outside of school, she is a devoted wife and proud mother of four. Since the very beginning of the Buccateers, Mrs. Joseph has poured her time, energy, and heart into this chapter. For two years, she has stood beside our members, guiding, encouraging, and believing in them every step of the way — and we are forever grateful for her leadership and dedication.

Mr. Robert Todd serves MCA as the Audio/Video Technology and Film teacher, as well as the Fisheries teacher. He is the SkillsUSA advisor for our local chapter, the District Teacher of the Year, and the SkillsUSA Georgia Region 7 Co-Chair. Beyond the classroom, he is a devoted husband and a volunteer firefighter who faithfully serves our community. For the past two years, Mr. Todd has been a steady source of leadership, strength, and unwavering support for the Buccateers. His commitment to excellence and his belief in our students have helped shape this chapter into what it is today.

For two full years, these advisors have given their time, their guidance, and their hearts to the MCA Buccateers. Because of them, this chapter is more than a program — it is a legacy in motion.

We are proud. We are grateful. And we celebrate them. 🖤❤️💛
