When you "speak success," you use effective communication to achieve your goals. Greetings! I began sharing my story and speaking from the heart.

ROVER SAYS: Walk the talk. 🐾

The most memorable speakers know that communication is about more than the words you choose.

Your posture. Your voice. Your energy. Your confidence.

They're all part of the message.

When your delivery matches your words, your audience is more likely to trust, remember, and connect with what you're saying.

So the next time you step up to speak, don't just give the talk.

Walk it. 💛🐾

What's one way you can "walk the talk" this week?

ROVER SAYS, “Take a pause.”

Then he takes a 3 hour nap to really drive the point home.

Rover doesn't rush his naps. He doesn't rush his zoomies. So you shouldn’t rush through your talking points!

Rover's pause game is elite. Could yours use some work?

A pause gives you time to think. It gives your audience time to catch up. Everybody's happier for it, especially the CHO still working on his beauty sleep.

“Now if you'll excuse me, I've got a pause to get back to.”

✨ Meet the newest voice at SPEAC Success!

Please join us in welcoming Seda Rua, our new Connection Coordinator!

Seda is a storyteller at heart with a passion for helping people find the confidence to use their voices. When asked what drew her to SPEAC, she said:

"I love supporting women-owned businesses, especially ones that empower people to use their voices. Helping people feel confident enough to take up space and be heard is something I'm really passionate about."

She's excited to build connections, celebrate client wins, and share the stories that make SPEAC's impact so meaningful.

One of our favorite responses came when we asked what gets in the way of people telling their stories:

"Fear of being judged. Most people don't struggle because they don't have a story. They struggle because they're worried about how it will be received."

And before you meet her, she has one request:

💛 "Don't let my name intimidate you. It's Seda (Seh-duh)! If you get it wrong the first time, you're in good company. SPEAC is all about trying even when you're afraid of getting it wrong. There are no points for perfection here; just for giving it a shot."

We're so excited to have Seda on the team and can't wait for you to get to know her.

👇 Help us give her a warm SPEAC welcome in the comments!

1999 called. They want their slides back.

We've all sat through that presentation.

Tiny text.
Endless bullet points.
The presenter reading every word while the audience slowly disappears into their phones.

It doesn't have to be that way.

Most presentation problems aren't PowerPoint problems—they're communication problems.

Slidelab is a hands-on workshop where you'll redesign your deck and learn how to make your slides support your message instead of competing with it.

Bring the deck you're using now.
Leave with one you're actually excited to present.

Serious question... when you're presenting, are people actually listening to you or are they just reading your slides?

It's something I see all the time. We spend hours building presentations and then accidentally fill them with so much information that our audience tunes us out.

In just two days, I'll be sharing simple ways to create visual aids that support your message while helping you show up with more confidence as a speaker.

One of the biggest myths about public speaking is that confident speakers don't get nervous.

Most do.

The difference is they've learned how to work with those nerves instead of letting them take over.

If you've ever walked into a meeting, presentation, or speaking opportunity wishing you felt more confident, this webinar is for you. We'll talk about practical ways to manage nerves, connect with your audience, and stop overthinking every word.

Join me for this FREE SCORE webinar on July 16th.

This past Friday, I attended my nephew's wedding, and I witnessed something I've never seen before.

After the traditional toasts, friends and family lined up to share unscripted stories, memories, and well wishes with the bride and groom. No notes. No rehearsals. Just genuine words from the heart.

Some speakers were polished. Others were clearly nervous. It didn't matter.
The room leaned in for every story because people weren't listening for perfection. They were listening for connection.

Effective communication isn't about having the perfect words. It's about sharing something meaningful with sincerity.

If you've been holding back from telling your story because you're worried it won't come out "just right," remember this: your message doesn't have to be perfect to make an impact. It just has to be genuine.

If you're ready to build more confidence sharing your story, my next Practical Storytelling cohort begins on August 11th.
