🌟 Preschool Shout-Out! 🌟

We are so excited to welcome our newest little learners to the primary school building! 🥰📚 It has been so much fun seeing all the exciting things our preschool students are learning, exploring, and experiencing each day.

From making new friends and learning classroom routines to creating, playing, and discovering new things, these little learners are already doing BIG things! 💕✨

We love having our preschoolers as part of our school family and can’t wait to watch them learn and grow this year! 🍎🖍️✏️

The DPS PTO is excited for another great school year filled with fun events, opportunities to support our teachers and students, and plenty of ways for our families to be involved.

➕➖ Math + Shaving Cream = First-Week Fun! 🫧✏️

Ms. Lawrence’s 2nd graders kicked off the school year with a hands-on review of simple addition and subtraction! Instead of pencils and paper, students used shaving cream as their math manipulative to solve problems, practice their skills, and have a little messy fun along the way! 🤩

Who knew math practice could be this much fun?! 💙📚

🦆💛 Mrs. Laughinghouse’s third grade class had a very special visitor—a pet duck!

Students learned some fun duck facts, including that female ducks tend to have a louder quack than males, ducks love to snack on peas, and their webbed feet help them swim. They also learned that ducks are social animals and don’t like to be alone. This sweet visitor has duck siblings to keep it company! 🦆🦆🦆🦆

What a fun, hands-on learning experience! 📚✨

🎉 Mrs. Scott’s first graders filled their class reward jar! Their hard work, positive choices, and teamwork earned them a sweet celebration—POPSICLES! 🍧☀️

Mrs. Kelly’s second graders put their addition skills to the test with a fun addition facts racing game! Students raced against their classmates while practicing their math facts, building fluency, and having lots of fun along the way. 🏎️💨

Learning is always more exciting with a little friendly competition! 🌟
