This year we are introducing themed days for our social media accounts! Today is and this past week our EAST students have been on a mission to create a commercial for a local non-profit by using only their phones and Microsoft ClipChamp. Say hello to our EAST Social Media Ambassadors!

These students were selected because of their creativity, previous experience, and passion for telling the EAST story. Throughout the school year, they’ll be behind the scenes creating content, capturing projects, highlighting students, and sharing all the incredible things happening in EAST!

They’ll be the voices and storytellers of our program across our social media platforms and we can’t wait to see what they create!

One of the best parts about our classroom is that we get to connect with our community! Today we had our first guests of the year in to be interviewed for various projects. Stacey Daughtrey from Area Chamber of Commerce met with 2 groups of students to represent the Chamber as well as the Friends Of Nebo (FON) organizations. Later we had DHS alumni and Lizard Foundation recipient, Kaylie Christy, come in for an interview about how receiving the scholarship last year has impacted her college journey so far. Be on the lookout for their information and interviews to make an appearance in some upcoming infomercials!
