Today marks the 9th anniversary of the IAFF Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health Treatment and Recovery.
In the past nine years, the IAFF Center of Excellence has provided specialized care to more than 4,300 members of the International Association of Fire Fighters, representing every U.S. state and five Canadian provinces.
Our one-of-a-kind facility is dedicated exclusively to fire fighters, paramedics and dispatchers—offering culturally competent treatment for behavioral health challenges including substance use, trauma, depression and anxiety.
We are incredibly proud of the work our team does every day to support the IAFF community and to lead the way in behavioral health care for fire service professionals.

A cancer diagnosis can leave even the most seasoned firefighter feeling blindsided.
Shock, fear, anger, disrupted sleep, withdrawal, or difficulty focusing are normal reactions—not weaknesses.
The BLTM Framework (Behaviors, Life Events, Thinking, Mood) helps firefighters understand these responses and identify healthy ways to process them.
Support your mental, emotional, and physical well-being—because taking care of your mind is part of survivorship.
