June Announcements/Calendar
Good afternoon! Well, the 2025-2026 school year is closed, and it was a bittersweet ending. Although the kids were happy to see the summer begin, there were many tears as our students and faculty left the building. For the next school year, we will shrink from approximately 1200 to 750 students. Most of these kids will be attending the new Jubilee Elementary School. Our faculty lost 18 positions, and almost all have found new school families across our district.
When we opened 6 years ago in 2020, we knew that we would grow quickly. We doubled in size within those 6 years, and I am sure we will see continued growth as more homes are being built primarily to the North of us. Each year has different challenges, and this will be a year of needed change which will benefit the entire feeder pattern.
Our summer hours beginning next week, the week of June 1st, will be Monday-Thursday, 7:00 am-4:00 pm. We generally close the week around the 4th of July for a breath before the big push to reopen at full throttle.
The theme selected for our 26-27 school year will be:
LEVEL UP YOUR LEADERSHIP!
You will notice the theme throughout our school environment as your kids are challenged through the year in new and creative ways.
Just before July arrives, you will receive “The Parent Checklist.” This will be a comprehensive list you can use through the months of July/August to prepare your family for the opening of school. This year’s checklist will have the usual directions regarding transportation, registration, etc. and a few new updates and directions.
The district will have data and summer updates. Please encourage neighbors who may be new to “Like Us” on Facebook so they can see the updates as we get them plugged in to our mass email systems.
If I were you, I would take the month of June “off” regarding thinking about the next school year and simply wait for the Parent Checklist. The Parent Checklist will be your comprehensive guide and should answer almost all questions.
There are just a couple of things you can do now to prepare for next year , but not absolutely necessary.
1. Registration/Items in the Office- We have several items in the office that you may stop by and pick up. We have many students’ personal belongings, as well as important items such as children’s report cards.
