String Along

Last call for mommy and me classes! They were set to begin November 3, but due to sickness they’re being pushed back a week! Sign ups are $179 for 6 weeks which covers parent and child! Classes will be held Wednesday nights at 6 pm in Loxley. No previous experience needed but violins are necessary. Message or text/call 251.322.9790 to sign up before it’s too late!

Parents, do you want to know how to get your children to practice their instrument? Here's a simple suggestion for you... Are you ready?

DO. IT. WITH. THEM.

That's right. It's simple enough as learning with them, which also brightens your horizons and you're learning something new! Kids don't want to be stuck in their room and told to practice, the most beneficial practicing can come from a parent knowing what they're learning and how it should be played. Most parents are clueless in this area, and do not know how to help their child practice. So join us at String Along as we start this new adventure! Classes will be held in Loxley at Mrs. Lily's home. So classes aren't too tight we will only be permitting 3 sets of parent/child at a time. However, we will have multiple classes offered granted there is enough interest. We will have classes for homeschooled students that will be during the day, as well as after school for students in school to be able to participate. Our classes are a 45 minute duration. My name is Lily Cooper and I have been teaching violin in the Eastern Shore area for almost 4 years now. I have been playing violin for 10 1/2 years now, involved with the Baldwin County Youth Orchestra for 8 years, and affiliated with Bay Music for the last 2 years. Hey guys! I am a music teacher in the baldwin county area, currently with Bay Music in Fairhope as well as teaching lessons from my home in Robertsdale! With COVID-19 I am offering violin lessons over video chat and while lessons are normally $20 per 30 minute session, I am offering $20 for a 45 minute session via video chat! Considering, this is video chat, feel free to share this with ANYONE who is interested in learning a new hobby or has a violin laying around that they figure might as well learn something new during social distancing! Music is an excellent way to help your children exceed in school and start learning early! It enhances the visual, auditory and motor cortexes in the brain and has been proven to enhance the connections in a person's brain when they are involved with music! Music has also been proven to provide a great medicine for those with special needs, neurodegenerative impairments as well as those with heart disorders!
