The Children’s Ballet strives to inspire our community through accessible dance education and engaging performances. Founded in 1987 by Deni Jacks, The Children's Ballet is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing high-quality dance instruction while instilling in students self-discipline, dedication, positive self-esteem, and an appreciation for the art of dance. We value and nurture each

student's unique gifts of talent and creativity in a safe studio environment in order to educate, enrich, and inspire. Our dancers begin as young as age 3 and can continue with us through their high school years and beyond. Students who join us for even a brief time, including very young students, will receive a “classical ballet appreciation” education, learning about classical music, composers, French ballet terminology and how ballets can tell a story without words. At the end of our season (September -- May) we produce an original full-length ballet written and choreographed for that season's dancers. The members of our dedicated and professional faculty, who specialize in several forms of dance, provide their students with the foundation of classical ballet technique through personal attention and teaching.

Meet our final senior, Charlie Dininger!
Charlie has been dancing for 14 years and attends Bethesda Christian School. Some of her favorite roles throughout her years of dance include the Troublemaker in A Magical Lesson and Odette in Anastasia. After graduation, Charlie plans to attend college to major in Athletic Training with a minor in the Arts! She is especially looking forward to dancing the role of Snow Queen in The Nutcracker and making all the special memories that this final year of dance will bring. We are so excited to be apart of Charlie’s senior year at TCB!

Our next Senior Sunday is Olivia Harrold!
Olivia has been dancing at TCB for 14 years and currently attends Connections Academy. While she hasn’t decided on a college yet, she plans to major in dance! Some of her favorite roles she’s performed are a Jellyfish and a Royal Messenger. This year, Olivia is most looking forward to making the best of every moment! We can’t wait to be apart of your senior year, Olivia!

Our first Senior Sunday Spotlight post is Alyssa Hutto!

Alyssa has been dancing for 15 years, with 12 of those years spent at The Children’s Ballet. She attends Plainfield High School and plans to major in Physical Therapy with the goal of specializing in Pediatrics.
Some of Alyssa’s favorite roles at TCB have been the Egyptian in A Royal Visit and one of the Troublemakers in A Magical Lesson.
As she begins her senior year, Alyssa is looking forward to making the most of every moment and sharing the stage with her little sister as she starts her own dance journey.
We can’t wait to be a part of your senior year, Alyssa! 🩷
