Danville Area Youth Music D·A·Y Music offers group music classes for children of all ages. Melissa Hess is a Certified Music Educator with a B.S.

in Music Education (University of Illinois 1997) with an emphasis in instrumental music. Melissa has multi-faceted experience teaching preschool, elementary general, and secondary vocal/instrumental music. She completed a pre-K certification through Musikgarten in 2024. Melissa has spent much of the past 20 years home-educating her 6 children and serving as a worship leader in her church, while working part-time in her second career as a midwife. Melissa is a music tutor for Danville School District #118, and also partners with the music department at First Baptist Christian School in Danville, IL.
