We want your recipes! “Cooking Up Community” is a collaboration between Centre College CentreWorks and the Boyle County Public Library designed to connect the community through the sharing of recipes and the family stories behind the food. The project will collect family recipes and personal stories about the recipes that reflect memory, identity, and culture. Participants will help preserve local traditions and community histories through contributions of recipes, family stories, photographs, and other historical information that may appear in a public cookbook, digital exhibit, and archived collections. Stop by the Story Center on Constitution Square or the Centre College Library to submit your recipe! Centre College Archivist Beth Morgan will be there to scan your recipe and record stories about families' favorite foods. You can also use the QR code to contribute electronically. Reach out to [email protected] with questions or for more info.
