We started our third reading unit today. We will be spending third quarter on our animal adaptation unit. The kids will be choosing one animal that they will become an expert on:). They will be answering six questions through their research. At the end of the unit they will put together an animal book along with an animal habitat! We are all very excited for this!!!

Attention 4th grade parents: This Friday, January 26th at 8:30 a.m. 4th graders will be showing off their hard work on their 50 states projects in the junior high gym.

Parents are invited to attend. Please enter through the junior high foyer to check in there. We will begin at 8:30 and should be finished a little before 9:00.

Yesterday in science we talked about how to protect a city from a landslide. They brainstormed their ideas and then had to construct and present a plan. Some of them got very creative! I think we may have some engineers in here:)

Attention parents...
There are quite a few kids who have missing school supplies. We are finding that they are not prepared for class because they are missing some things that they need. Scissors, EXPO markers, markers, colored pencils, pencils, glue sticks are some of the ones we are finding that they do not have. Please check with your child on whether or not they are needing anything for school. THANK YOU!

Just a friendly reminderā€¦our fourth grade class is accepting donations for PAWs animal shelter. A letter was sent home last week so if you have any questions, donā€™t hesitate to ask! We will accept items until Thursday, Dec. 21!
