Averett Announces Spring 2026 President’s and Dean’s List | Averett University Averett University is proud to recognize students who earned academic honors for the Spring 2026 semester. This group includes both traditional on-campus students and those enrolled in Averett Online programs. In total, 378 students were honored for their outstanding academic achievements.

Averett recently honored four community leaders with Presidential Medals during its commencement ceremony on May 9.

The four individuals - local business figure Charles Majors; Danville City Councilman Sherman Saunders; Dr. Angela Hairston, the superintendent of Danville Public Schools; and Ken Larking, Danville City Manager - each have had an immeasurable impact on Averett.

Averett University Celebrates Commencement 2026 | Averett University Averett University celebrated its graduates during its 2026 spring commencement exercises held Saturday morning, May 9 in the Grant Center on the university’s E. Stuart James Grant North Campus. In all, 245 students participated in commencement exercises.
