Here's round 3 of Hispanic Heritage Bubble Maps!
Check out these awesome bubble maps created in music class by our students showing all they are learning about the history of Hispanic Heritage Month! They also started learning the classic Spanish children's song, Los Pollitos Dicen!

This post features students from Mr. Collier's 4th grade class, Ms Moss' 3rd grade class, and Ms. Howard's 2nd grade class. I will post more throughout the week!

Hey Toliver fam!
Today, in music class, we started studying about Hispanic Heritage Month! Check out these awesome bubble maps created by our students showing all they are learning about the history of Hispanic Heritage Month! They also started learning the classic Spanish children's song, Los Pollitos Dicen!

Good morning! As you may have seen on the Toliver main page on Friday, Toliver students had the wonderful opportunity to see, and also participate with, a super fun steel drum band from Campbellsville, Ky called Steel Appeal! Check out the attached pictures. And in the comments are videos from each grade level of the students who were chosen to play along with the band! Such a great opportunity for our students!

We had a great first day back in music class! Students reviewed the rules and expectations of the music room while playing different music games and exploring some new instruments! They played musical go fish and other rhythm card games, colored and read music books, and explored the instrument projects each grade level will be starting soon.

5th grade will be learning to play ukulele.
4th grade will be learning to play dulcimer.
3rd grade will be learning to play recorders.
2nd grade will be learning to play different percussion instruments and drums.

Toliver students are working so hard and having a great time with their winter performance! Although this show is teacher-guided, it is mostly student-created. They get to choose how they participate and what their lines are. They also colored all of the background scenery and props, as well as made lots of snowflakes! We can't wait for you to see this process and all their hard work. If you can't make it in to see the show, no worries! A recording will be made and sent out! Check out the pics below for a sneak peak and reminder of when your student performs!

Toliver kiddos have been working VERY hard for their family night performance! Family night is THURSDAY from 5-7 PM. Last names starting with A-K will come from 5-6 with a performance in the gym at 5:45. And last names starting with L-Z will be 6-7 PM with a performance in the gym at 6:45.
