We had a great time at SHP Spring Classics. A big congratulations to the whole team…… Kullen C and Lani Ennis were 2nd and Story Horse and Taryn Clancy were 9th both in the Low Child/Adult Derby, Jamie Garcia’s horse Phinally was Champion in the USHJA 2’9 hunters with @lvhenkle ,Maron Leslie and All In were Reserve Champion in the Low Child Hunters. A great time was had by all.

His mom won for the family the same week they buried the patriarch. This horse carries generations. Won his first race from dead last. Did it again in the Lecomte. Last two races, third both times, but closing faster than anything in the field. This horse doesn’t start running until everyone else stops. Jose Ortiz in the saddle. Eleven Derby rides. Zero wins. Won the Preakness, won the Belmont, but the Derby’s the one that got away. He’s been on Golden Tempo since day one. And yeah, he’s wearing the lucky Hildebrandt breeches. Number 19. A 30-to-1 longshot trained by a woman who built her barn from scratch. Ridden by a jockey who’s been knocking on this door for a decade. Running for a family that’s been in the game for almost a century.
