We’re bringing the team spirit to Meade Park! 💙Today, our students and staff showed up in their favorite team jerseys as part of D118 Attendance Spirit Week!

Whether they were cheering for a favorite school, professional team, or just rocking a jersey they love, everyone was ready to TEAM UP for attendance!

Because when you’re at school, you’re part of the team—and every student matters, every day!

Fourth grade students in Mrs. Spesard’s class are putting their math skills to work through hands-on games! Students practiced their rounding skills with Rounding Scoot and tested their problem-solving skills with Sink or Swim.

These engaging games give students a chance to practice important math skills, think critically, work together, and—most importantly—have fun while learning!

Earlier this week, Mrs. Ramirez’s class used a Venn diagram to compare and contrast two fairytales! 🏰👑

Students looked closely at the characters, settings, events, and other details to identify what made each story unique and what they had in common.

Our readers are learning that stories can be different in many ways while still sharing important similarities!

What a great way to put their compare and contrast skills to work!

🔎 Inference Detectives at Work!

Mrs. Ramirez’s class has been working hard on making inferences this week! To put their skills to the test, students participated in a fun “School Tool Mystery” activity.

Students were given a series of clues and had to use their background knowledge and evidence from the clues to infer which school tool the student needed.

They had to think carefully, discuss their ideas, and use their detective skills to solve each mystery! 🕵️‍♂️🔍

Learning can be a mystery—and our students were up for the challenge!

Everyone enjoyed a beautiful day outside for our Meade Park Lunch on the Lawn! Part 2 captures even more special moments of families enjoying the sunshine, sharing lunch, and spending quality time together with their students.
