Mrs. Bogart's 6th grade classes had a fantastic first day of school kicking off teamwork skills with a fun puzzle challenge!

Students were divided into groups and tasked with assembling a 100-piece puzzle without looking at the picture on the box—but with a fun twist. Every two minutes, she paused the class with a "get-to-know-you" question. Based on their answers, one student from each team rotated to a new table, jumping right in to help a new group with a completely different puzzle.

It was an absolute blast watching them adapt, welcome new teammates, and practice cooperative learning. Students who truly blew her away with their stellar attitude and inclusive teamwork earned a coupon for a free meal at Applebee's!

6th Grade Forge Camp was a total success!

We had the best time welcoming our incoming 6th graders to DMS! Our new middle schoolers got a head start on the year by cracking lock combinations at our locker station, racing through an escape room to learn all about their core teachers, and discovering our cool elective classes with a building-wide scavenger hunt. Most importantly, they got to hang out, laugh, and make new friends!

Thank you to every 6th grader who came out to join in on the fun. You are going to do amazing things at DMS this year!

Danville Middle School is starting a section of Heart & Sole!💜

Heart & Sole is the middle school version of Girls on the Run, an after school program in schools nationwide, including Liberty Valley! It’s not just about running, it’s about getting to know yourself and others, and embracing who you are!✨

Our annual Back to School Night is only a week away! This is a terrific opportunity for students and parents to receive information on school procedures (parent drop-off, school systems such as E-Hall pass, the schedule format, etc.), "walk" student schedules through the building, meet teachers, practice opening their lockers, and more!

🎒 6th grade families are invited to enter the building from 3-4:30pm and students of all grades are welcome from 4:30-6:30pm
✏️ Information presentations will be held for 6th grade families at 3:15pm in the auditorium and at 4:45pm for 7th and 8th grade families
🍎 We are currently working to secure a food truck for the event, so please feel free to bring cash!
