What Are the Differences Between Knowledge, Wisdom, and Insight?

Knowledge, Wisdom, and Insight may sound like synonyms, but they are not. Though they all refer to the mind and an accumulation of thoughts and experiences, they have some very real differences in the essence of their meanings and their applications in our life.

Knowledge VS Wisdom VS Insight
Knowledge is the accumulation of facts and data that you have learned about or experienced. It’s being aware of something, and having information. Knowledge is really about facts and ideas that we acquire through study, research, investigation, observation, or experience.

Wisdom is the ability to discern and judge which aspects of that knowledge are true, right, lasting, and applicable to your life. It’s the ability to apply that knowledge to the greater scheme of life. It’s also deeper; knowing the meaning or reason; about knowing why something is, and what it means to your life.

Insight is the deepest level of knowing and the most meaningful to your life. Insight is a deeper and clearer perception of life, of knowledge, of wisdom. It’s grasping the underlying nature of knowledge, and the essence of wisdom. Insight is a truer understanding of your life and the bigger picture of how things intertwine.

In a nutshell: If knowledge is information, wisdom is the understanding and application of that knowledge and insight is the awareness of the underlying essence of a truth.

Sadly we can gain a lifetime of knowledge, yet never see the wisdom in it. We can be wise, but still miss the deeper meaning.

It appears to be that we been removed (along side posts related to our page) from groups for allagedly personal attacks.

1. Nothing is personal when everything is coming from the mayor himself. We don't make this up we just repost it.
2. You are a public figure meaning you are not a private citizen and therefore all you do is going to be criticized by the people.
3. . We will not stop untill Rickey is out of office, Mr. Rickey Williams Jr. We are going to watch every move you make and every comment you make.

You're part of the reason our society is the way it is. This behavior is unnaceptable and if we continue to allow it then each generation that comes will become worse then the prior. Get your ass off facebook and do something for our city and stop worrying about what people say about you and do something to save our city. Lead by example.

This isn't something that's going on in every city, only cities that accept it or turn a blind eye. You have the ability to make the changes. You and every other person that holds office of some sort in DANVILLE. Do your job or let another do it.

We couldn't agree more with this post, not just when it comes to s*x offenders but to the safety of our city from drugs, violence and all evils that plague our good city of Danville.

We would like to clear up some confusion, when we post things about the mayor it is never an issue directed at his s*xuality, there are 4 of us on here and 3/4 are openly out and understand the negativity that still comes from others who won't accept people for their own beliefs. We are not here to trash religion, s*xuality, race or any other thing. We only wish for the public eye to see the public figure act in unethical manor, with personal attacks on families and other things as well. We personally believe that he should step down and allow a better bfigure to represent our great city of Danville, Illinois and hopefully bring a new change to this negative world we live in.
