It’s Back!

The Kentucky State Police Youth Academy Program returns for its third year. From June 28-July 2, this experience at Trooper Island Camp will give 16 and 17-year-olds a firsthand look at law enforcement careers, leadership training, and hands-on skills.

Last week, we celebrated Read Across America with a couple of AWESOME Storytellers who visited our Preschool students. On Wednesday , Miss Heart of Central Kentucky Teen, Joslin Glasscock was our special guest. I have watched this child grow into an intelligent, compassionate young lady with a commitment to Children in Foster Care. On Friday, our special guest reader was Detective Captain Dollins with the Danville Police Department. I’m so proud to have a Department willing to be in community with our youngest citizens!
