You will have bragging rights for being the first in your state to complete the Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing - ATDM program at IALR, and you might even get to say you helped ATDM reach all 50 states.
If you are from one of those states and you like being “the first” to do something, we need your help.
Here’s what you should know about the program: ATDM is a four-month, 600-hour manufacturing training program where participants gain the skills needed for a successful career in the submarine industrial base. You choose from five tracks: welding, CNC machining, non-destructive testing, additive manufacturing or metrology.
Accepted participants receive scholarships that cover tuition and housing while they train in Danville, Va. The program is designed to remove barriers and help people focus on building real, job-ready skills.
Graduates earn industry-recognized credentials and start their new careers with a growing network of employers across 35+ states. We have an 80% graduation rate for students who start the program, and 80% of our graduates are placed into a relevant job within 60 days of graduation. Many receive job offers while they are still completing the program.
To date, the ATDM program has more than 1,400 graduates representing 47 states. New Hampshire, North Dakota and South Dakota are the ones we are missing.
We are ready to say: we have trained students from all 50 states.
