The letters students wrote made it all the way to El Salvador. ❤️

As each wheelchair was presented, recipients received a handwritten letter from a student—and in return, they wrote a letter back.

It was more than just exchanging words. It was a connection across cultures, built on kindness, gratitude, and hope. These are the moments that remind us a simple letter can make a lasting impact. 🌎♿💙

Thank you, Altamont Creek Elementary! ❤️♿

Your students, staff, and families raised funds to provide wheelchairs for people in need through the Wheelchair Foundation’s From The Heart Schools Program. They also took part in wheelchair basketball, building awareness, empathy, and a greater understanding of accessibility and inclusion.

Thank you for making a difference—both here and around the world! 🌎💙

💛 Thank You, Jackson Avenue Elementary! 💛

A huge thank you to the amazing students, staff, and families at Jackson Avenue Elementary for your generosity and support!

Your yellow school bus donation boxes were so full of coins that the wheels flattened and the bottoms broke open! 🚌

Because of your kindness, lives were changed through the gift of mobility in El Salvador. Thank you for proving that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big difference.❤️♿

See you in April! Jackson Stingrays

Yesterday, more than 70 wheelchairs were distributed to individuals and families whose lives will be forever changed. People arrived after traveling long distances and waiting months—or even years—for the chance to receive a chair. Mothers carried their children in their arms, elderly grandparents were carried by loved ones on their backs or in their arms, and others arrived on makeshift scooters or seated in plastic chairs. Every person who came carried a different story, but they all shared the same hope: the chance for greater independence and a better quality of life.

Some smiles are earned after years of waiting. Some steps are only possible because someone chose to care. Day 3 🇸🇻
