A great picture from one of my fellow Awa Odori team members (iirc) from last year's Bon Odori sesh, at JASCO's JapanFestOH in Riverside Crossing Park - my friend and I teaching some dances to the crowd.
This year it is Sept 12th, and we have our new team uniforms! I know it's unfortunately the same time as Harvest Days, but I'm considering popping in in the morning then heading to obon halfway through the day, and would totally be open to carpooling. Let me know!

At Known World Heraldic and Scribal Symposium i received a Purple Fret! Thank you so much to Aasa Sorensdottir for the dancheong inspired scroll, and to their majesties for bestowing my first service award upon me.

redid the jeogori and finally finished the chima. still too big on me but looks quite flattering on my plus size mannequin lol. guess it stays in the loaner box. the next one i make will for me better - this was my first attempt. i do have more of the body fabric but i need more of the red and the purple fabric.

Tried my own outdoor mini classroom set up at St Cecilia at the Tower and it went pretty good, at least the janggu class did (I called it Basics of Korean Hourglass Drum) and the pacing was good and there was good conversation, and I enjoyed the other class I took.

Hopefully will teach that again. The weather was great and didn't rain or get windy at all.

Teaching at the music-focused event St Cecilia at the Tower!
For the first time I will see how a class on Korean Hourglass Drums, and a Guqin workshop will go. There's a Japanese Court Music class I want to attend, and they had a Song Dynasty feast planned!
First time teaching at this event as well - the plan is to set up outside under some shade. Hope to see people there!!! I'll link the event info below if curious.

I also completed a virtual handout (via a post on our blog) which I will also link below in the comments.
