Dear Seniors,
Are you planning to attend college after high school but feeling unsure about how you will pay for it? Join us for GWHS Financial Aid Overview Night!
September 24th
5:30–7:00 PM
George Washington High School Cafeteria
During this event, we will break down the financial aid process and help you better understand how financial aid can help make college more affordable.
We will focus on:
* Financial Aid Definitions: Learn the meaning of important terms such as grants, scholarships, loans, work-study, and other financial aid terminology.
* FAFSA: Learn what the Free Application for Federal Student Aid is and why completing it is an important step in paying for college.
* FSA ID: Learn what an FSA ID is, why you need one, and how it is used to access and complete the FAFSA.
* Paying for College: Learn about the different types of financial assistance that may be available to you.
IMPORTANT: If you plan to create an FSA ID during the event, please bring your Social Security number (SSN). The flyer specifically asks students to bring their SSN to create an FSA ID for the FAFSA for when it opens October 1st.
This is a great opportunity to ask questions and become more confident about the financial aid process.
We hope to see you there!
