Student Council has extended the Family Night Raffle until this Friday! The Winners will be announced during Spring Fling. Tickets can be purchased in the school store this week, Tues - Friday , before school, or in the maker lab during Middle & High School Lunch . You may also find Cora , on Campus, for ticket sales any time :)

We are SO proud of Danville's own Keenan Evans, Abby McReynolds, and Andy McReynolds! Pictured here with instructors Lisa Newland and Ryan Brill, they came in first place today at Skills USA for team welding and will go on to compete at nationals in Atlanta this June! Congratulations! We are so PROUD of you three!

BUILD : Tiny House Crew ⚡️🏡
This crew has been working on several finishing projects out in the Tiny House. Framing in the windows, trimming out the entire inside, caulking, priming and painting are just a few tasks they have been doing out there. They also built a custom alternating tread ladder for access to the loft. Which will come in handy when storing equipment up there.
Amongst their many projects, they also wired in some electrical boxes for power in the future. This tiny house is equipped with a solar charging panel to provide some energy to the building, but the boxes need to be properly connected to the power bank, before it can be used. Stay Tuned 🔌💡🔋

BUILD: The Yurt Lockers
The Yurt Crew have been working on several projects to ensure the structure is stable, efficient, and comfortable. This unique outdoor classroom hosts several programs throughout the year, such as Science of Outdoor Activities & Recreation courses, Nature Writing and Collaborative Cooking opportunities. Did I mention this yurt was built entirely by students and staff here at Danville School. The structure needed some organization and storage units for snowshoes, winter gear, classroom items and much more. The challenging part about this project is designing for a circular space… that’s right, curved walls 🛖.
This crew created an assembly line system to build these beautiful custom build lockers to fit in the yurt’s uniquely shaped spaces. Utilizing this space makes so much sense as they didn’t want to take up any of the usable floor real estate.
Their next project, building drop down desk systems in between the frames, will require some careful calculations and lots patience 🪚🪜
