Northside Preschool

Good Evening Preschool Parents. This is the last call that many of you will receive from me. Sadly preschool ends this week. We have a half day of school tomorrow and a half day of school on Wednesday. School will dismiss at 12:00 p.m. for car riders and 12:15 p.m. for bus riders on each day.

Thank you for coming out last week to support our 3 and 4 year olds who will be moving on to their next adventure. Some will be returning to Northside Preschool and others will be moving to Kindergarten. Thank you for all of the support you offered us this school year.

Good Evening Preschool Parents. This is Principal Wright-Simmers. Well, the time is finally here. This week we will be promoting our 4-year-olds to Kindergarten and Bridging our 3-year-olds to our 4-year old program. Your children have worked so hard and learned so much that their accomplishments will be recognized. The Northside 3-year-old Bridging Ceremony will be Monday, May 18th at 10:00 a.m. Families will first go to the classroom for more personal recognition and then they will go to the cafeteria for the music program and Bridging ceremony. Northside will have Ms. Clark and Ms. Smith’s 4-year-old Preschool Promotion on Tuesday, May 19th at 11:30 in the cafeteria. On Thursday, May 21st Ms. Clements, Ms. Bratton and Mrs. Runyon’s classes will promote at 10:00 a,m, and Mrs. Lancaster, Ms. Yeatts and Ms. Shorter’s classes will be promoted at 11:00. This will be a very special day for all of the children. If you want to check your child out to continue the celebration we understand, but school will be open until the regular time.

I want to thank everyone who helped appreciate our Northside Preschool teachers this week. They were overjoyed with the support that you showed to them. Thank you again. Also, I want to say Happy Mother's Day to all of the mothers. I know that you are very proud of your little ones. This week we will have a Fun Day for the children at Northside Preschool. It will be on Friday, May 15th. Parents are not invited to this event. This will be for our wonderful children, a treat for them because they deserve a fun day because of all of the hard work they did this year. Please make sure the children wear comfortable and cool clothing, as the Fun Day will be outside. They must also wear tennis shoes and no other types of shoes so we can ensure that the kids are safe while running outside. Also, please put sunscreen on your child before they leave for school.

Looking ahead to the following week, our 3 year old Moving up Ceremony will be on Monday 18th at 10:00 a.m. 4 year old promotion will be May 19th or 21st depending on your class. More information will be coming.

Some of the Northside Preschool Teachers were awarded gift certificates for answering some trivia questions. We thank Rippe's, Linden Rose Boutique, Jeni's Joint, and The Grill Restaurant on West Main. The teachers were so thrilled. Also thank you to Sunset Slush Bus who donated gift certificates to all of the teachers.

Ms. Zee Clark has a wonderful student and a terrifc parent BBQ smoker. Mr. Faulkner delivered BBQ, baked beans and the fixing for all of the teachers at Northside Preschool for teacher apperication week. Everyone felt spoiled after tasting Mr. Faulkner's delicious food. Thank you so much!

Northside Preschool just loves our Nurse Lexi! Her smile helps everyone feel better. We celebrate all of the wonderful things about our teriffic nurse, Alexis Shuler!

Thank you to Wilkins & Co. Realty for the yummy breakfast treat for our teachers on this Teacher Appreciation Week. Ms. Clements has the biggest smile because her grandson was apart of the team that delivered the goodies. Well-deserved for the Northside Preschool teachers.

Northside Preschool is so grateful to Mrs. Sharon and Mrs. Betty for feeding us each day. Thank you do much for all that you do!

Arbor Day at Northside Preschool!

Happy Administrative Assistant Day! Mrs. James you have benn such a wonderful addition to Northside Preschool. Her friendly demeanor to those who visit Northside or call on the phone. She helps us everyday. We can't do it without her. Thank you for all of you do!
