Congratulations to Danville FFA member Brooklyn Schmitt on an outstanding performance at the Worth County Livestock Judging Contest on last Thursday!

Brooklyn earned 4th Place Individual honors while competing against a talented field of livestock judges. We are proud of the hard work, dedication, and livestock evaluation skills she continues to develop through FFA.

State Livestock Judging is in the books! 🐷🐮🐑

The Iowa FFA State Livestock Judging Contest is one of the most challenging judging events of the year. Contestants evaluated 9 placing classes, completed 3 keep/cull classes, and presented 4 sets of oral reasons. Unlike many contests, there are no questions or written tests—success depends entirely on evaluation skills, decision-making, and the ability to confidently defend those decisions.

This year, Danville FFA was represented by Kylie Loyd, Brooklyn Schmitt, Brady Wellman, and Harris Boughton. The team earned a Silver rating and placed 37th overall!

A special congratulations goes to Brady and Harris. State Livestock Judging was only Brady’s second judging competition ever and Harris’s third competition ever, making this an incredible learning experience and accomplishment for both members.

We are proud of the hard work, dedication, and growth these members have shown throughout the judging season. Congratulations on a great day representing Danville FFA! 💙💛

The Danville FFA Chapter had a great day at the SE District Livestock Judging Contest!

🌟 Our Middle School Team earned Reserve Champion Team honors! Congratulations to:

🐄 Brooklyn Schmitt – 5th Place Individual
🐄 Harris Boughton – 9th Place Individual

We are also proud of our Senior Division participant:

These members represented Danville FFA well through their hard work, livestock evaluation skills, and dedication to agricultural education. Congratulations to all of our competitors on a successful day, and best of luck as you continue to develop your judging skills!

What a great day of leadership, teamwork, and FFA spirit! 🌟💙💛

The Danville FFA Chapter was proud to participate in the Southeast District Chapter Officer Leadership Training (C**T) Conference, joining FFA members from across the district for a day of learning and growth.

Throughout the conference, members participated in interactive workshops focused on advocating for agriculture, connecting with stakeholders, recruiting new members, strengthening chapter programs, and developing teamwork skills. Officers also received specialized training tailored to their individual leadership roles.
