A huge congratulations to the seven new members inducted into the St. John’s Prep Athletic Hall of Fame during Homecoming weekend!

Gathered inside the Mahoney Wellness Center, we celebrated athletic excellence, dedication, and true Prep sportsmanship. The morning also featured a special recognition for the 2001 State Champion Swimming & Diving team and honored longtime faculty member and sports photographer Dave Malaro with the Crystal Eagle Award.

Talk about the perfect Homecoming! We could not have asked for a better day this past Saturday as hundreds of community members filled campus for this annual tradition. To top it all off, a big win over La Salle Academy made the day extra sweet!

After weeks of tournament-style voting, the votes are officially counted and the bracket is complete! We are excited to introduce...

Eddie the Eagle!

It was neck and neck through the final round, but Eddie officially beat Swoop by a small margin. But even more exciting? Eddie has a full name: Eddie (The)odore Eagle!

A strong candidate from the start, Eddie was the most popular submission during the initial call for names. His middle name, Theodore, pays homage to Theodore James Ryken, founder of the Xaverian Brothers. Altogether, the name strikes a perfect balance between community involvement and Prep tradition.

For generations, the Prep brotherhood has been built on values that stand the test of time. Times change, but our mission and deeply rooted heritage remain as strong as ever.
