Fun with fine motor! Yesterday we worked with play dough, spaghetti, and beads. Putting the beads on the spaghetti is fun for them and helps strengthen their pincer grasp and improves hand-eye coordination. This is just one of the fine motor activities we do here at Kids At Play!

We love doing yoga here at Kids at Play! Yoga is great activity for kids. It helps improve balance and motor coordination, as well as providing stress reduction through deep breathing and slow movements!

Even when it is raining out we find a way to get our gross motor activities in! Gross motor is an essential part of development. These stepping stones are helping us strengthen our balance and coordination.

Started our dinosaur and fossil week off with some fun! Spent the morning doing some reading on dinosaurs and then created our own dino skeletons using q-tips! Did you know that "Dinosaur" is Greek for "terrible lizard"?
