Today we walked to support a cause near and dear to our hearts in memory of someone special our school community lost in 2025 to brain cancer. We are proud to walk alongside her family and friends to honor her memory and support the fight. Together we walk and remember and keep hope alive.

This Monday our teachers were the students during our In-Service day. Our teachers took CPR First Aid training with our favorite instructor Jim Oca who conducts training for many Goddard Schools throughout Connecticut. Our teachers do more than educate our students they focus on the health and safety of the students in their classrooms and safety starts with trained teachers!

Kindergarten readiness can show up in everyday moments, not just big milestones. A few signals to notice:

1. They’re building confidence to try things independently. Examples: walking into a room first, asking for help, or giving something new a try.

2. They’re starting to recognize the letters in their name, even if they’re not reading just yet.

3. They’re showing care and responsibility at home. This could include things like helping pack a bag, feeding a pet, putting away toys, or getting through part of their routine with a little more ease.

Every child grows at their own pace - and readiness looks different for every family. Their preschool teachers can be a great partner in noticing strengths, celebrating progress, and helping you think through what comes next.
