Infants: Our infant program revolves around the needs of each child. Specific activities are planned for each child and integrated into the daily routine. The staff strives to promote special relationships with the parents and children to allow for open communication. The flexible schedule allows for one-on-one interaction as well as group experiences. Toddlers: Our toddler program provides a stim

ulating and exploration rich environment. With our 1:3 ratio, our staff fosters their blossoming independence, which is critical to their development. Toddlers are offered small and large group activities as well as individual activities. Potty training is planned on an individual basis and staff will work collaboratively with parents to determine readiness and which strategies to use. Transitional: Our transitional area is unique because it caters to the children that need that little something extra to stimulate their exploration. This area mimics the preschool program, yet still holds the 1:4 ratio. Preschool: Our preschool program presents many activities that support social, emotional, cognitive and physical development. The teachers are regularly developing the children’s independence by encouraging life skills as well as offering choices, which promotes positive decision making. Preschoolers will be offered activities appropriate to developmental and interest level that inspires reading and writing skills.

Good afternoon parents
Due to an unforeseen staff shortage for tomorrow 1/17/23 I will not be able to open and run the center in a manner that keeps us in ratio of children to staff. I do apologize for the inconvenience I know this causes and I look forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday.

It seems there was some confusion this morning in regards to the late opening due to the weather. Following is a list of resources that you will need to check if you think we might be closed or delayed. All postings and notifications will be done by 6:00 am.

*An e mail will be sent out to all the parents the morning of any closing or delay. Please make sure your e mail address is current and up to date with Ms. Theresa

*A post will be published on the Samuels Early Learning Center page. Please make sure you “Like” our page.

*Closings and delays will be posted on NBC CT, WTNH CT, and WFSB CT by 6:00 am.

*You can also sign up for e mail and text alerts using the following links.
