Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 10th Tri-State Weather Conference! 🌪️⛈️🌤️

The event brought together meteorologists, researchers, educators, students, emergency management professionals, and weather enthusiasts for a day of discussion and learning.
We appreciate the support of our presenters and sponsors in making this possible.

The conference is presented by the WCSU Weather Center at Western Connecticut State University, with support from our university partners, American Meteorological Society chapters, and NOAA/National Weather Service offices.

Together, we continue to strengthen climate education across the community.

Capturing fall at the Westside Nature Preserve 🍁

In recognition of truth, history, and the enduring relationship between Indigenous Peoples and their sacred lands, we acknowledge that western Connecticut is the traditional homelands of the Schaghticoke, Weantinock, and other Native Peoples. The WCSU community seeks to foster greater knowledge of Connecticut’s tribal nations, other Indigenous residents, and those forcibly removed.

May we continue to learn and reflect on the significance of this day.

Homecoming is going strong at WCSU! 💙🐺

Today is a celebration of the people, memories, and traditions that make WestConn feel like home. From alumni reuniting with former classmates to families spending the day with their students, there’s something special about seeing generations of Wolves come together.

The Alumni Pavilion on the Westside Campus is also the setting for a meaningful tree dedication honoring Diana Wellman ’64, a dedicated WCSU alumna, teacher, and longtime Honorary Life Board Member and Treasurer of the Alumni Association.

As we celebrate, we’re reminded of just how much this university has changed as it continues to grow. It’s the perfect time to come back and reconnect with all that it is now.

With tailgating, athletics, and activities happening throughout the day, there’s plenty to enjoy! 🎉
