An open letter to our director, Erika.
Thank you.
At no moment are we, students and staff of LVA School, unaware of the immense dedication that you have for the school and its mission. You have given a decade of your time to ensure the school continues to serve people who, like you, found themselves living in a new country without mastery of the language or the customs.
This birthday post is going up a bit late. Nonetheless, we wish you the happiest of birthdays, light, and endless joy.
My birthday wish to you is that you are able to recognize and be proud of your efforts in aiding hundreds of people to bettering their lives in the United States. You have been, and continue to be, a leading force in guiding people to their American dream. We will be forever grateful.
Happy birthday to our director, friend, family, student, volunteer, and more, Erika Carolina Sanches Fermino.
